  Booked on Hotels.com and when I checked in I asked for a room with a view, and got one. Looking out over the river.

  Parking is HORRENDOUS! Dried vomit down side of bed and on side of nightstand. Bathroom could have been cleaner. Cheap metal folding chairs were the "patio furniture." Parking area poorly lit. Housekeeping began knocking on door at 9 am on Sun morning. Front desk began phoning at 10:55 am. (We had asked for a later checkout time because we were at an event until late into the pm... They said no problem... No extra charge. I don't know what happened there... Not a bad hotel, nice updates. Needs a deep cleaning, better & more parking, more considerate staff & more secutity. Was generally nice,

  The staff at the Doubletree Rochester was very friendly and of course the yummy cookie upon check in is always a bonus. The hotel was tidy and quiet which was nice. The breakfast buffet was very good also. The only disappointment (which is a big one on my list) was the room cleanliness. I'm a little cautious (okay a lot cautious!) when staying at hotels so I usually bring Clorox wipes with me to disinfect any surface that's not a fabric. Because of this it was noticably dirty as the surfaces became much cleaner after the wipe down. Most people that don't take these extra inspection measures will most likely not have an issue. Nonetheless, I would still recommend this hotel based on the service and great location.
