Sitting beside the Kennebunk River, Cape Arundel Golf Club offers 18 holes of play amidst lush and leafy scenery. Featuring small greens and a fully stocked pro shop, the club is well noted as a presidential favorite. Founded in 1939, Seashore Trolley Museum is home to over 250 transit vehicles, making it one of the largest electronic railway museums in the world. Whilst the collection mainly features vintage electric streetcars, exhibits focus on both the past and present of public transport. Separated from the mainland by tidal creeks, Vaughn’s Island Preserve is a small oak-forested haven, perfect for bird watching and walking.

How to get to Kennebunkport

Kennebunkport has 4 airports within an hour and a half’s drive away: Portsmouth International Airport at Pease, Manchester-Boston Regional, Boston’s Logan International, and Portland International Jetport. The latter however is just 30 minutes from town, and serves a good handful of major US destinations including Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, New York, and Philadelphia. If you want to make your way in by train instead, nearby Wells is served by the Amtrak train, which stops just a 10 minute journey from Kennebunkport. For those driving in, the city is easily accessible via Interstate 95.
