"Doubletree Cuban"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 26, 2013
We were in Fort Lauderdale / Miami area for five days without concrete plans. We stayed at the Doubletree due to a discount coupon. The hotel was a little dated. The staff was very helpful even though there was a language barrier some times. We stayed for two nights so it wasn't a bad hotel. I had to go to store in lobby to purchase soda as there was no machine on my floor or the floor below. The room was straightened very nicely while we were out. I feel that Doubletree needs to rehab for hotel to be considered three stars or lower room rate. The location was easily accessible from highway.

"Location, location, location"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 24, 2013
Nobody's going to confuse this place with the Ritz, but it is super-convenient, the rooms are decent-sized, and there are enough food options at the hotel and in the airport.
"Quick overnight stay"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 23, 2013
I recently stayed at this hotel overnight in order to catch an international flight the next morning. The hotel is in a great location and convenient to the airport. The complementary shuttle service departed right on time. I have one complaint and one observation that may be useful. The only coffee in my room was decaf - a bit of a surprise when I got up very early for my international departure. The room was also noticeably noisy from all the jet traffic coming and going into MIA. I'm an easy sleeper so the noise didn't bother me. However, if you have problems sleeping with outside noise, you might want to take this into consideration when choosing this hotel. Other than the noise, the bed was very comfortable and I got a good night's sleep.
"Downtown Miami"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 22, 2013
We stayed 2 nights. We are ex Miamians so we know the town. This hotel is in an area of high rises and the center of the financial district of Miami. We liked the convenience of a 1 bedroom apartment with kitchen. Breakfast was hectic but one of the best "free" breakfasts! real cooked food and fresh juice. Modern building that sells condo units for people to rent as hotel units. The finish in the room, including the analog tvs was super cheap but the convenience of the layout won the day. I just don't understand why the interior design is so cheap when the overall facility is nice.

"quite nice actually"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 19, 2013
The remodeled rooms were extremely nice. The bathrooms are small and the room is generally small, but we knew that going in and it wasn't a concern really. Everything in the room was VERY clean and new. The staff were all excellent and nice. The hotel was under construction so the lobby was torn up along with the elevators(which were working fine, just dusty). We also knew that going as the hotel clearly advertised that, so i am not considering that in this review. Once the hotel is fully remodeled it will be very nice i think. Cant beat the location for the miami boat show.
