Explore Gulf Shores
Gulf Shores HotelsWhether you want to spend your time fishing in rolling ocean waves, reclining on gleaming white beaches, or striking golf balls across immaculate grassy courses - the Gulf Shores is a coastal destination that has it all. Sparsely populated, sugar-white beaches provide all your relaxation needs, while the town's shorefront restaurants and bars give you the chance to slide salty oysters down your neck, or even try breaded alligator tail – if you're feeling adventurous. Things to seeWhile beaches across the world proudly boast about their bright white sands, the grains that populate the Gulf Shores coastline put them all to shame. As soft as flour to tread on, and as screamingly white as snow, the sands of Gulf Shores Beach will serve as your bed for the day, allowing you to soak up the sun before you find the energy to dip into the refreshing blue waters to cool off. Want to try something a little more electrifying? Race down wavy, multilane waterslides, or lose your bearings rocketing through twisting dark tubes, at Waterville USA. Afterwards, dry off and soak up some history at Fort Morgan, which is one of the finest Civil War forts left standing. Overlooking the gateway to Mobile Bay, the weathered, star-shaped construction was the site of the significant Battle of Mobile Bay - climb to the top for poignant views out over the now serenely calm waters.
