Frankenmuth Hotels

Fueled by its German heritage, Frankenmuth’s reputation as “Michigan’s Little Bavaria” is certainly well deserved – as a stroll through the city’s village-like downtown will quickly reveal. Quintessentially quaint, unashamedly kitsch, and oozing Bavarian culture, Frankenmuth’s idealized charm is something you’ll either love or loathe. From the pomp of jolly oom-pah bands and steaming chicken dinners, to the world’s largest Christmas store and the beer-swilling revelry of Oktoberfest - eat, drink, or play; the spirited city has delights for all.

Things to see

Frankenmuth’s most enchanting attraction, Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland has been celebrating year-round holiday cheer since 1945. A twinkling trove of festive finery, the 7-acre superstore offers everything from Christmas trees and festive decor, to ornaments and gifts. The Military and Space Museum will be on most history buff’s itineraries. The center focuses on America’s foreign wars, both past and present, whilst also honoring the achievements of Michigan’s military personnel and space pioneers. The exhibits include uniforms, model tanks, planes and ships, as well as America’s largest Medal of Honor collection. For golfers who like a real challenge The Fortress is the course to visit. Featuring bent grass tees and lush fairways, the 18-hole course reflects the early origins of golf. Along with putting and chipping greens, the course also provides a driving range, should you need to get some practice in first.
