Overall good value for price. Room & bathroom were very clean and functional. Room thermostat did not work (open window was alternative & worked).

We were treated so well the minute we arrived! The parking attendant went out of his way to make sure we knew exactly where we were going. There was a mix up with our room, that we had to call the desk to straighten out, so they put us up in a suite to make it up to us!! Which was totally not necessary, but very much appreciated! Everyone was so friendly and helpful the entire time. We left our car parked there after check out to do more sightseeing, at no charge! Very, very wonderful staff! And the hotel is so conveniently located! Will definitely stay there again...and again....and again!!!!!

It was perfect for what we needed--a place to crash. We were surprised at how nice the hotel was for the price. Decorated well, very clean, comfortable bed. We would definitely stay here again for a downtown stay...Little Italy and Chinatown right outside!!

On vacation, my wife and I are explorers. All we want from a hotel is an affordable, comfortable, convenient place to sleep after a long day - and Clarion Park Avenue delivered. The rooms and hallways are VERY small, but you have a private bath and enough room for a couple to relax comfortably. Our room had a dresser, desk, TV, bed, and night tables with about 1.5 or 2 feet of walking space on each side of the bed. So it was snug, but it was clean, it was comfortable, and we couldn't hear the city from our 6th floor perch. Outside we found ourselves a convenient walk to the subway, to restaurants (try the Charcuterie place a block south on Park), and a longer walk to the major tourist attractions. But while it was a longer walk, we loved it, because we go to NYC to find the little places you pass on your way to the bigger places. We walked to Times Square, we walked to the Village, we walked to the Flatiron District, and if we ever got too tired, the cab was less than $10 to get back to base. Perfect, perfect spot for a couple. If you're a family, this place is too small, but if you're one or two people who just need a bed in the center of the city - this is your spot.

Hotel was quaint and nice... loved the atmosphere. Elevator is super tiny... and the room was a nice size. The only down side was how hard and uncomfortable the bed was.

Everything was good other than the heater. The heater was too old and needs to be replaced. It didn't work well at night time. Everything else was great! Nice location and nice breakfast! The staff members were all super kind!

We loved this place! It's an old apartment building, so there are a few nicks & dings, but overall we thought they did a great makeover on the building. All the rooms have kitchens & separate bedrooms... an awesome deal for Manhattan! This is a very safe & nice neighborhood too (anyone who thinks it's not just doesn't know NYC). Awesome stay! We'll definitely use this as our go-to hotel in the city!
