I was completely satisfied with my stay at the Village Inn, which is the true name of the hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable: the bed was great, and the sheets were crisp and clean. The air conditioner worked perfectly. (I myself don't like air conditioning, so I turned it off. But I determined that it worked well.) And the shower was great -- I require good water pressure; and this hotel had it, even on the third (top) floor. All rooms on the second and third floors have a balcony entrance, which is nice. The people at the desk were very responsive to my needs, allowing me to use the house phone for a couple of phone calls. (I don't have a cell phone. But I later found a nearby pay phone.) The pool is excellent; it goes to 10 feet, and is extremely well maintained. The hotel is located about 4 blocks from the boardwalk, which is ideal, because the loud clubs are located one block from the boardwalk. So you are three blocks away from the clubs; you can't hear any disturbance from them at night. There is a 24-hour deli located a block away from the hotel; this is very convenient. I would definitely stay at the Village Inn again; indeed, I might do so in the coming weeks.
