Most Brazilian hotels at this price range at major cities such as SP, Rio, Brasilia, and Belo, have vertical sockets. This hotel should get them too. Otherwise, the service was good and the room was specious. The bathroom could have been bigger.

Great place, even better hotel staff. Stefano was very nice and went out of his way to make my stay more comfortable. Flavia was a great source of recommendations and provided a lot of helpful tips and a very accurate map. I would stay here again any time.

Overall, this is a pleasant, well-run, reasonably priced pousada within two blocks of the historic district, but on our first excursion to nearby Pelourinho Square, we'd walked only 1/2 block when a street thief appeared out of a nowhere and ripped a gold chain off my wife's neck. The hotel provided a escort on our subsequent walks up the narrow street to the historic district, which is heavily policed, but all guests should be advised not to wear jewelry on the streets and to guard valuables against pickpockets.

I think the location of the hotel is the best. If you are looking to stay close to the beach and for a nice and friendly staff at a reasonable rate, this hotel serves its purpose. Its in a prime location just to people watch.

The room was clean; the staff was friendly and the temperature was nice and cold. They have the typical amenities, pool, internet and breakfast (which was quite good). The price was fair for the time of year in Rio. Location is a bit far from airport and center of town. Area was safe and close to the beach.
