  The room was clean; the staff was friendly and the temperature was nice and cold. They have the typical amenities, pool, internet and breakfast (which was quite good). The price was fair for the time of year in Rio. Location is a bit far from airport and center of town. Area was safe and close to the beach.

  The room was a bit smaller than I imagined, as we had our 5 year old in a bed next to our king -size bed, but we were only there for the night. The front desk was excellent! We had the chicken sandwiches from room service....and they were delicious.

  We spent a great week at the Pestana. Our room,like all others had an ocean view. The bed and bath were superb. The bar had music every night. The pool had great service and a wonderful section by the ocean.We could walk to a restaurant section of town for dinner and as long as we got a metered cab ,transportation to the central city of Salvador was affordable.The fitness center was complete and well maintained.Room service was always available and prompt. The staff spoke English were was most helpful.The breakfast was amazing! We would go back in a heartbeat.

  Whilst the building could do with a bit of an external rennovation and decoration it still provides everything you could need at a reasonable price. The location is ok for getting into the centre and to the Barra region its also safe enough walking around with a couple of decent restaurants in close walking distance. The breakfast buffet was good along with the lobby bar for snacks.
