"AHR Expo"Reviewed by Luis of "Toronto, Canada" on Jan 30, 2012
I was in Chicago to attend the AHR Expo and I wasn't sure about staying at the Public Chicago, until a friend of mine told me how great it was. Well, I was very impressed with the entire hotel, from the hospitable service to the modern settings of my room. I know that I'll book at the Public again, the next time I travel to Chicago!!

I specifically chose this hotel because it is dog-friendly without all the ridiculous pet fees like so many of the nicer hotels have. The hotel was beautiful, convenient, clean, and genuinely pet-friendly. I would definitely stay here again without question.

"Seneca Hotel- LOVED IT"Reviewed by Dominique of "Montreal" on Jan 23, 2012
OK- my room did smell a little funky but everything was unbelievable for the price! AWESOME location, felt safe for a single girl, close to all public transport, shops, restaurants. Mini-kichenette a big plus if you like to pack a lunch for long museum days or keep some milk and juice for breakfast! Breakfast is included but who can eat bacon and eggs for 5 days straight? I'd just go down and get myself some toast and they were super accomodating! Chicago rocks!!! Trader Joe's is a great stop if you want to take healthy snacks along for the day, Portillo's for hot dogs and Italian Beef...yummy!!!

"Palomar Hotel, Chicago - Great Hotel"Reviewed by Justine of "Toronto, CA" on Jan 22, 2012
This was our first time in Chicago and there are so many hotels to choose from it's a bit of a pot luck, but we were very happy with the Palomar, and are sure to stay there again. We stayed for 6 nights between Christmas and New Year. The staff were great - there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, but we asked for a kettle and one was delivered while we were out. The location is excellent - a couple of blocks from Michigan, and walkable to Lincoln Park and Downtown. There's a small supermarket and lots of places to eat within a block. The room was spacious and clean, the air con worked, the bed was comfy - what more can you ask for? The only downside was the bar/restaurant area seemed overcrowded, while the restaurant seemed quiet. If you fancy a drink close to 'home' head back over the road to the Rock Bottom Restaurant and Brewery. For a good steak go to Joe's Seafood, Steak and Stone Crab, on the corner of North Rush and Grand.
