  Dueling nightclub parties at both the Redwoood Room and the Velvet Room made sleep on the first 5 floors impossible. After the music stopped at around 2, loud revlers inside the hotel and outside continued to hoot and holler. The next day we moved to another (higher) room and it was much better - just the usual street noise. Staff service is great, location good and rooms clean but tiny.

  I just needed a place to crash after a concert and this place was very convenient and comfortable. I had read reviews that had made me nervous, but rest assured. It's a clean hotel, with a great location. For people who are nervous nellies about the surrounding neighborhoods, y'all need to relax. As a female young adult, I felt perfectly safe walking around. The room was retro but everything was neat and clean. The bed comforter was really warm and much better than those itchy wool blankets you find at other hotels which was definitely a plus. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to others.

  Not a very modern hotel, but clean and the rooms are large. We were very comfortable there and the staff was helpful.
