I've stayed here many times in the past. The staff is always friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and I enjoy the complimentary breakfast. The purpose of my trips are to spend time with my family located in the area, and it provides a central location to get together with them, plus ease in getting around the area on the interstate. Plan to spend many more trips there.

Based on previous reviews we were nervous about the Mountaineer, but upon arrival we pleasantly surprised. We arrived at 3:30 in the morning, and the attendant was still courteous although we obviously had her out of bed in the middle of the night. The rooms were not extravagant, but clean and comfortable. For $40/night we could not have asked for more. Would definitely stay there again.
