I tend to have a low concept of Holiday Inn. This particular location outshines my expectations and I would stay there again.

My son and I were visiting Pitt on President's Day-and we decided to come early and relax and go to Carnegie museum. All the people working there were polite and professional-and most of them students! Food in restaurant was good and convenient. Room was clean and fitness room clean with nice equipment. I would definitely stay there again.

The hotel was great. The service was very good. The food was average. The room was amazing along with the view. The parking was a hassle. Next time I will have the valet take it. The room next to ours that we shared a common door was so loud that we could not sleep. They rattled the door all night long and it sounded like they were bouncing a medicine ball. Not the hotels fault but the point is that you can hear everything in the next room. I could even feel the floor shake when they were jumping around. They need to do some sound deadening upgrades. My wife and I could not sleep at all that night. Plus I had a headache from them it was outrageous.

The room itself was large and comfortable but the toilet kept leaking and no one came to fix it. Other than that we were happy.

it was fine except for the lack of hot water. my husband took a shower in the evening & I took one in the morning, and we both had literally less than 2 minutes of hot water. For that reason alone we will not be staying there again.

The hotel was clean, there were lots of large towels in the bathroom. Heater worked well. Staff were helpful. Breakfast was outstanding with lots of choices hot and cold. Close to the highway for easy access. I liked being able to look out onto the highway to see if the snow was impeding traffic any. One thing they should fix is the usefulness of the closet. The closet space measured 50 inches side to side. The oversized doors were to large and only allowed 18" of access to the closet on either side. This meant that at most there was 12" to hang your clothes on since the closet rod did not run end to end. They should take the closet doors off.
