"Great affordable hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 18, 2013
This hotel was a great option during Carnival because it was affordable, comfortable and located on a main road. Getting into Rio and Ipanema etc... was very easy by bus or taxi. We found that the mall across the street had some great outdoor eating spots and convenient to get to. The staff was very accommodating to us, they let us keep our luggage till late in the evening after we checked out and they let us use their shower facilities at the gym to change when we came back from the beach, even provided us with towels. This was really great, because our flight home was at 10pm in the evening. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a cheaper option to staying in the city or in the Ipanema/Copacabana beach area.
"Well situated, well priced"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 18, 2013
I enjoyed my stay, Copacabana is not for everyone but this hotel also has easy access to Ipanema. Nice facilities, the pool/rooftop area is very nice and even the gym, although small is good for a hotel. Highly recommend.

If you are travelling with your family (children) and/or you are heterosexual, this is not the hotel or area to stay in Ipanema. Research this area before you book your stay in Ipanema.

"Rio 180 in RioDe Janeiro"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jun 27, 2012
This is a fantastic location with outstanding views. Tricky to get to but well worth it. Away from the tourist areas. A big plus. Very nice people. The architecture is stunning. But when we were there they had major problems with water, hot water, plumbing and gas, But, that will be fixed I am sure. We rented a car and that worked out well with excursions to outside the city the sites of Rio, beaches, and nightlife. A wonderful experience. This is a small hotel with great people and the views could not be better.
"great location and nice staff"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jun 27, 2012
The hotel's location is great - just across the Museum of the Republic, walking distance from the local shopping district of Catete, a stone's throw away from Flamengo beach and a good view of the Sugar Loaf and a glimpse of Christ the Redeemer. The staff are very nice too, despite the limitations in English. All for a good price, by Rio standards!
