"Close to Intercontinental"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 26, 2013
Stay was great. Room seems to have just recently been redone with new carpet and paint. This is not a 5 star hotel, but very nice and clean. Parking was great. Parking is on site and gated and no parking garage to deal with. (Not very common in a downtown hotel). Front desk staff is not overly friendly, but overall I was very pleased and would definitely stay there again for business.
"Excellent view, service & location"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 26, 2013
Hotel was relaxing, with plush room and beautiful view of NOLA. Blocks from great food, trolly and shopping. Near French Quarter. Lobby with expansive windows overlooking Mississippi River.
"Close to city center - far from noise!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 26, 2013
The hotel was great, location is perfect. You can walk to French Quarter, but you are far away from the noise and craziness when you had enough of "partying" and ready to go to sleep. The place is huge, several restaurants in the building. Try John Besh's Oyster spaghetti!. Have free Jazz on the weekends, and a $9.95 unlimited dessert bar! Rooms are not that spacious but comfortable and clean.
"Wish it were closer to the action in the French Qu"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 26, 2013
I had a very good time in New Orleans and would recommend the Melrose Mansion with a caveat about the walk to the main French Quarter.
"A pleasant staff and a pleasant stay"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 26, 2013
The staff was pleasant and helpful...the room neat and clean. Close to the French Quarter, Convention Center and streetcars.

"Perfect for Rock n Roll marathon."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 26, 2013
Everything about the hotel was good. We will stay there again. My husband and I went down to New Orleans to run a marathon. The only hiccup we encountered was the morning of the race, the lobby restroom only had one of the four bathrooms in working condition. The hotel was jammed packed full of runners. Runners need restrooms before a long run, so to only have one bathroom working was extremely troublesome. Sure, we could have gone back upstairs to our rooms, but that is very time consuming to wait on the elevator and such. I think the hotel staff should have made the restrooms a priority.
"great staff, not so great room location"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 26, 2013
when we arrived, valet was sold out. had to park across the street in a parking garage. checked in and no cookies available. once we went to bed, it was very noisy. we could hear other toilets flushing, the elevator throughout the night and people in the halls. housekeeping came to our room knocking loud and a lot and we had not called housekeeping. not a relaxing stay at all. the staff was great @ the valet counter and front desk,
