On a humorous note, the first time I pulled up to the hotel a young man in a white shirt and black pants approached me and I told him I needed to check inside to see if there was any availability. He told me they were sold out so I pulled the car around the side of the building and started searching hotels.com. I was surprised that the closest available room was in this Marriott and I booked the room through the hotels.com website. I then went inside to check in and mentioned what the valet had told me, only to find out the hotel doesn't have valet service. I guess someone was either having some fun, or was trying to get even with me for a perceived insult. (What me, park cars?) Everything was fine, except: 1) they have no valet parking, which can be a bit of a problem on a rainy night,, 2) the alarm clock was set to the wrong time so I got up an hour earlier than I had to, and 3) my omelet took 30 minutes to arrive, even though I ate in the dining room.

Very romantic, away from the every day, not your hotel chain establishment by far. Quiet, secluded, pause from the ordinary. Excellent service, down to earth and fresh pastries, coffee, yogurt and cereal in the morning... just a break from the routine.
