"Wonderful Halloween Weekend at the Wylie Inn"

My friend and I went up to Beverly to stay for the Halloween weekend and the Wylie Inn was the perfect choice. It took us only 10 minutes to get from our hotel door to downtown Salem for the parties (the hotel even had ND-A-RYD taxi service coming to and from downtown Salem to the hotel to pick people up for only 10 dollars each way! WOW what a great price since parking downtown was a 20 dollar minimum). We checked in and had a mix-up with our room number (they had double booked one room even though other rooms were available) so my buddy and I went back to the hotel desk. They apologized profusely, switched our rooms, and then about 5 minutes later the manager and the lady who checked us in showed up at our door apologizing again and brought us pumpkin donuts, iced tea and a basket of Halloween candy. Now that is service! The hotel and rooms were very nice, brand new facilities...although the bed was a bit smaller than I would have liked and the pillows were horrible. Those are my only two negative points about the Wylie Inn, everything else was amazing. The area is very pretty and quiet and just felt warm and how New England should feel. The staff was super polite and friendly! They provided a delicious Continental breakfast the following morning of fresh pastries and donuts, fresh sliced fruit, cereal, granola bars, and a coffee machine which is free 24 hours a day. I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to the Salem/Beverly area. I LOVED the Wylie Inn and will be returning VERY soon!
