Cocoa Beach, Florida was first settled in 1888 and is named after nearby Cocoa city. As a great family vacation destination, the city is famous for surfing and there are a number of surf shops to cater for amateurs and professionals alike. When to go to Cocoa Beach

Cocoa Beach lies on the Atlantic Coast and has a subtropical climate. Warm all year round, it may be better to visit during the slightly cooler spring season. Popular months to book hotels in Cocoa Beach are March and April, when highs can reach around 79°F.

How to get to Cocoa Beach

You can take a shuttle to the city from nearby Orlando International Airport (MCO). You could also hire a car and drive, highly recommended for the area, or take a taxi to one of the hotels on the beach. While in the city take a bus from your beach inn to local attractions or travel around on foot and absorb the sunshine.

Cocoa Beach is home to the famous John F. Kennedy Space Center and I Dream of Jeannie Lane. The whole family will enjoy Cocoa Beach Aquatic Center and Pool Complex, and you might also want to check out the beautiful Thousand Islands Conservation Area. The staff & location was great. My pet was very happy. This was her first time on vacation with us and she didn't know what to do with herself. LOL We plan to go back again.

hotel was in process of lots of construction. best to book the cheapest room then upgrade to oceanfront in person.

We had a nice room on the 2nd floor that overlooked the pool and the ocean beyond. Beautiful common rooms. Wine and cheese at 5 and a nice simple breakfast with quiche and cinnamon rolls. Honor bar. Very nice bed and breakfast feel.
