"Nice hotel for the money!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 13, 2013
This hotel is located right downtown Birmingham but right in between several hospitals. The hotel is in dire need of remodeling, carpets old & stained, A.C. unit & elevators were both noisy, but I will say the room was very clean & comfy. Only other complaint was that we heard sirens all night from surrounding hospitals. Overall, the hotel is a great value for the location & price. The staff was very friendly & helpful, especially Deedee & Clint! The warm cookie was great too! We will definitely stay here again if in the Birmingham area!
"Charming deco hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 11, 2013
This older, charming hotel has been well maintained and is lovely in its decorations/furniture. The location is very good - central. The only suggestion we make is to offer softer mattresses - both of us tossed and turned all night trying to get comfortable on the very firm mattress.
"Just one night stay on our way to New Orleans"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 6, 2013
The people at the front desk were friendly and courteous. The showerhead in our bathroom was wonderful - almost therapudic! The room was good sized and very comfortable.
"Fantastic"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 28, 2013
I loved the room, breakfast was the best I have ever seen, and the hot tub and pool were beautiful and relaxing.
"Convient place to get around Birmingham"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 11, 2013
The staff was great, the room was very nice and clean. The only downfall(which really wasn't that big of a deal) was that there was no complimentary breakfast or coffee downstairs.Thanks.
"just a "house""Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 4, 2013
There's a saying, "A house is made with wood and beams, a home is made with love and dreams". This B&B felt like a house. Although the interior and the rooms were decorated and pretty, there was nobody "there". A key taped to the front door with instructions to "lock the house" was my greeting. People stayed there, but we never interacted, except at breakfast, if they came down on time. The tables were heavily decorated which made sitting at them cumbersome, and the only other place to sit was the living room which had 2 chairs in it. The owners are friendly, but only "exist" for breakfast. BYOC (bring your own company/companionship/conversation).
