"Trip to Bham"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 10, 2013
Front Desk staff was the best part of our stay. They were friendly and helpful! Requested a non-smoking room and that was what we were given, unfortunately the room reeked of smoke. The smoke detector would go off every time someone used the shower and it steamed up the room. Carpet was dirty, couldn't tell if it was just stained or someone just hadn't cleaned it. It was fine for the night, wouldn't have wanted to stay any longer than that though.
"Fine place to stay"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 4, 2013
I was there for business downtown, and it was fast and easy to get downtown without having to deal with the interstate. I have several more trips to Birmingham planned in the next few months, and I'll stay here for each one, no question. I can see where some would look at the location and be wary, but it was fine; in fact, location is the big plus for this hotel, in my opinion. Interstate noise was no factor. Things like cleanliness and service (they were very courteous) were fine with no complaints or disappointments. You get what you pay for if you're booking a Days Inn by the freeway, so don't expect 400 thread-count bedsheets or a sense of luxury. It's simply a decent place to stay, and I was completely satisfied.

Checking in was a issue due to booking 2 rooms and not having both name down. Room was big and clean.
