"A nice stay in L.A."Reviewed by chris of "Chico, CA" on Feb 2, 2012
I was in L.A. for a trade show and from the moment i stepped to the front desk to the time i left, I felt like the staff at the Sheraton was there to make my stay easy and comfortable. Thank you!

Great hotel for the price. Friendly and helpful. Ok breakfast. Noisy people in next room were annoying.

We stayed here for 4 days. The breakfast is quite adequate, the rooms comfy and quiet (for the most part). Don't ask to use the pool in the winter, even if it is 68-72 degrees outside, because they won't open it. Parking in the neighborhood is fairly easy, if you watch the signs and meters. Metro is right there, too. What's not to like?

This was a very welcome respite after a long flight from Thailand. The proximity to Los Angeles airport was a great perk as I flew out the next morning (free shuttle). The fitness center was great!!! Room service was excellent (note: great deli/ liquor store less than 1 block from hotel).

"Cecil Hotel - Wonderful value for low price"Reviewed by Michael of "Chicago, IL" on Feb 1, 2012
I paid a very low rate for the room, even cheaper than I've paid for a cut rate motels before and was very impressed. The foyer and entrance is gorgeous. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The only down side was the room we had didn't have it's own bathroom. However, the public bathrooms themselves were not bad at all. The showers had great water pressure and warmth and different times of the day. The hotel seemed very under crowded and I think is a gem hidden in LA. The location was great, there's a great pack of restaurants nearby and we felt extremely safe on the street. Of course, you go down a few blocks past Springer and it starts to get a bit sketchy. We had a car and were able to park next door overnight. The parking garage i good and will let you take your car out and bring it in throughout the day. I would definitely recommend getting an all night pass there as well. Ultimately, a great place to park your rump if you're just in town to visit and have your own transportation. I couldn't have asked for better.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Super easy check-in, room was lovely and the bathroom was huge. Will definitely stay here again.
"The Metro: Easy Access Via Good Transportation"Reviewed by RJ of "Lancaster" on Feb 1, 2012
Can not get away from the date and infrastructure of the building and surrounding neighborhood, however this hotel is quaint and small 80 rooms. Reception polite and courteous, receptive and helpful when asked for information. Continental Breakfast very simple but nourishing, basic ceral (2) Juice (2) Bread (3) bagels (2) fruit (2) milk 2%, coffee (2) Service for Saturday breakfast was very cordial; however Sunday Breakfast Service was Cold and standoffish. Was not receptived when asked for items in shortness, arrived at 9 am (breakfast from 6:30 to 9:30 am). Location is good for Chinatown, Dodge games, Downtown LA, Self tour of places of interest. Union Station 5 min walk. Over all enjoyed my stay and would rebook another say here.
