"Very pleasant staff"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
I was pleased. Attended a conference next door. The price was good and came with internet access. The staff and restaurant staff were very nice. I will repeat.

"Faded glory"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
As everyone else says, the public spaces are fantastic. Also as everyone else says, there's lots of street noise (we brought a noise machine which took care of that). Our room was clean and well maintained -- not the current definition of high-end, but really very nice. A handsome room. Overall this was a positive experience (the price is not high -- we got a rate of about half the basic rate, just by asking), and I'd go back.

I loved this old hotel with all it's charm. It was easy to get around to what we wanted to see. Like Universal studios, CBS, and the Farmers Market. The hotel just made me smile. It was clean and charming.

"Modern Hotel Rooms"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 2, 2012
My husband and I were impressed with the extremely modern style of the hotel from the red light in the elevator to the light around the bed frame. It was also conviniently located just blocks away from the Nokia Theater and we were able to walk there instead of drive. We were very happy!
"A nice, clean and convenient hotel!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 2, 2012
We stayed at the L.A. Sky Boutique Hotel for 3 days and overall were very satisfied with our stay. While some prior comments I read stated they didn't care for the hotel due to "lack of nightlife", we found that to be an asset, for you didn't have to deal with a bunch of drunk and disorderly people out front of he hotel. Our room was very clean and nicely appointed for the price. The staff was friendly, pleasant and professional. The only two negatives were our TV and/or remote didn't function well, and the parking one night was tight due to more cars than spaces. But the staff handled the parking situation well. The TV never really for fixed. But over all, we would definitely stay there again!
