I have stayed with super 8 before and was expecting the "you get what you pay for" experience as usual. However this hotel the gentlemen behind the counter was friendly saw that we were from out of town and suggested a few places to visit and a even a few good places to eat for a romantic dinner. The room was far better then the pictures showed. The room was so clean that the comforter smelled like fresh laundry detergent. I give it a 10/10 and thats hard to get with me being so picky.

The hotel was in a great location. My son goes to University of Dubuque and this hotel was close to everything I needed. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was good and well stocked. There was coffee available all day. I will definitely consider staying here the next time I am in Dubuque.

When we get a hotel just to sleep in, we don't need anything fancy or expensive. This Motel 6 was a good deal for the price. Apparently much better than the adjacent low priced hotel where friends stayed.
