  Doubletree is one of our favorite stays. We've stayed at them in California and other places. The St. Louis/Union Station location had a great room and good location. Service people were friendly. One major problem--a staff member did not tell us the site was locked up at 10:00 except for the front door.This is a long way from the parking lot and caused us problems. It marred an otherwise very nice hotel.

  I''ve always had good experiences with Holiday Inn hotels, our room was clean and the staff got us our room right away. There was a security guard walking the grounds at night which made my girlfriend feel comfortable when she went outside to smoke as this is a nonsmoking hotel.

  Staff were extremely accommodating and helpful with parking recommendations and other local area information. Plenty of great restaurants within walking distance. They were awesome with my puppy and even ended up dog sitting when we couldn't take him with us on our adventures due to the weather. I will stay here every time I am in the area!
