Our room was really nice, comfortable and clean. There were 4 events going on at the hotel the night we were there and only 2 elevators were in service. Because they are old they are slow. Getting up and down to and from your room often was a long wait. Trying to get a bell hop to move luggage was not easy either. We had to get a cart and move our luggage ourselves once because we couldn't find anyone. I think there is a lot of renovation going on because our room was very nice and well appointed. For the price, it was worth it.

We stay here every trip to charleston. My daughter visits the brain tumor clinic at MUSC so we are in charleston a lot. This hotel is the best for the money
