Ellis Airport, located just a few miles northwest of Jacksonville city. Serving a limited number of destinations, visitors coming from further away will have to connect via a larger airport, such as Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International. Once you’ve landed at Albert J. Ellis Airport, Emerald Isle is just a 45 minute drive away, by car or pre-booked shuttle service. For those getting in by car from the north or south, Emerald Isle is around one and a half hours off Interstate 95. If you’re coming from the east, US-70 will be your main route.
