"great hotel on a budget"

The place obviously needs to be updated and is an older hotel, but I knew that going in so didn't bother me. Our room was clean and staff was friendly. We had a king bed and it was very comfortable and so were the pillows (I usually don't like hotel pillows). We also had a microwave and a fridge. However, the bathroom ceiling could use some work and the bathroom fixtures could definitely use some updating. There's also breakfast in the morning and an attached bar, which is nice, but we didn't get to either so can't comment on those.

I chose this hotel for its "waterpark" and had seen pictures on the web so i kind of knew what to expect. I just can't believe this is the biggest indoor waterpark in fargo, there are 6 slides but they are all about 8 feet long. The hot tub was very small and crowded with kids. My 6 year old had a lot of fun, but i was hoping it would be fun for the adults too. It was disappointing the next morning when we got up to go swimming at 7 AM (which was the time posted that the pool opened) and the ship (where the slides are) did not open until about 8:15. We had to get going around 8:45 and the hot tub still had not opened which was a bummer since the pool was not all that warm. Our poolside room was small but comfortable, the bathroom was TINY! We ate at the restaurant in the morning because i had a coupon for my son to eat free (all kids eat free at this hotel with the purchase of an adult meal) and i was NOT impressed. My son and i both ordered pancakes (mine were blueberry) and they were awful, the blueberries tasted like they were old and my sausages were so tough i could barely cut them. The one (one!) piece of bacon that came with his breakfast was good. Luckily we were full from the caramel roll and yogurt that came out before our breakfast. The hotel is in a great location though, right off of the highway and close to the mall and Chuck E Cheese which was another of our destinations.
