Queen Wheat City is the perfect nickname for Enid, Oklahoma. This classic Midwestern city has an insane amount of storage space for America’s wheat crops. In fact, little Enid is the planet’s third-largest grain storage site. But there is plenty more on hand here than just wheat. The local theater scene is well-represented at the Gaslight Theater, while the Tri-State Music Festival is one of Oklahoma’s biggest annual music events. You can also browse local museums showcasing apects of the unique history of Enid, like the 1893 Land Rush, its role in the transcontinental railroad, and the Cherokee Indians who once roamed these hills.

Enid is primarily an agricultural town with a focus on America’s wheat production. As such, nearly all of the hotels here are national chains. There are plenty to choose from, and most fall well within the budget category. It’s common to see a swimming pool or a fitness room at the nicer ones like the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites. But the majority of Enid’s motels have basic facilities.
The nicest hotels in Enid are located a few miles outside of the city center. Check along Highway 412 or KL Drive for modern, spacious accommodation such as the SpringHill Suites by Marriott. Rates are reasonable at these hotels and you get nice extras like an indoor swimming pool and an on-site bar.

If you stay a few minutes’ drive outside of central Enid, you can choose from a handful of upscale chain hotels like the SpringHill Suites by Marriott. These hotels are located along the main roads leading out of town, like Highway 412.
Downtown Enid is a large area, and the accommodation in this part of the city tends to be cheaper than lodgings on the outskirts. The city’s largest selection of lodgings is within the city limits, with most of America’s chains represented, including the Baymont Inn and Suites.
Just along the road is the much smaller town of Perry, which serves as a quieter alternative to Enid. There are plenty of choices here, including a well-reviewed Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites.
