  We really enjoyed being right on the beach ans so close to many good restaurants and shopping. A bit dated but very clean. Short drive to #1 Siesta Key beach at half the cost.

  We arrived late as we had instructed Hotel in advance. We were confirmed by Hotel's.com in a "Non Smoking" King Room but were put in a Smoking Two Dbl Bed room. Manager blamed mix up on Hotel's.com and made us supply proof of room type before he would relocate us. Really?? Isn't the customer always correct? After all it's Midnight and we just want to go to bed in our pre-paid room that we had requested. Once proof submitted, we were relocated to the correct room. Remainder of stay (one night) was a good experience. I would recommend this Hotel.

  front desk was very nice and helpful and the food at breakfast was really good. Breakfast staff didnt say hello or any word to anyone and didnt seem very happy to be there. general hotel areas were clean and nice looking. not very happy with the cleanliness of the room: pulled out the sofa bed and found the mattress pad had popcorn pieces and "body" hair on it. made us a little concerned about the mattress itself and the bed cleanliness in the other room!! not bad all around for a weekend stay, would just check closely for problems before the night became too late!
