It's a grand older property that has been brought up to date with beautiful decorations,carpets, curtain treatments, furniture, wall colors, and pictures. The staff were wonderful and ready to answer any questions that were asked. The location is right across the street from the beach. Beach chairs are provided on a first come, first serve basis.Food was good and the top floor dining room gave a gorgeous view of the water and beach.The bathroom we had was a bit outdated but clean.It would not take too much effort to bring them up to date. The laundry room was a little hard to find and stuck in a small room but the washers and driers were newer and quite serviceable. One can walk to St. Armands Circle with all the restaurants and stores.Or drive across the bridge into Sarasota and all that it has to offer.. We will return again.

We visited to celebrate a birthday and Valentines Day. Wonderful location and our king room with balcony faced the Gulf and was clean and seemed to be pretty much up to date. Staff seemed nice. Would stay at this location again.
