"Great location but less than helpful hotel staff.."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 20, 2013
Hotel Khreschatyk is in a great location for sightseeing. The hotel room was clean and very warm considering the freezing temps outside. One negative was the hotel (reception) staff. They were less then helpful when attempting to plan a tour, order a taxi, airport transfer, dinner reservations etc. It seemed they didn't want to make any arrangements that didn't involve some type of payment directly to the hotel. For instance, we requested they assist us in booking a tour with a specific company but we were told they would only book hotel-sponsored tours. This meant we were provided a tour guide and driver by the hotel. The tour experience was very dissapointing and we paid substantially more for the hotel package. If you're looking for a nice hotel in a great location, Hotel Khreschatyk is perfect, however, I would highly recommend not relying on the hotel staff for any of your vacation arrangements.

Anatoly was an excellent host. The airline had lost my bags for three-days. In conjunction with the airline, Anatoly coordinated the delivery of my luggage when it was finally found. He also provided me with a local cell phone at a very resonable rate...
"Nothing to write home about"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 28, 2013
The hotel was ok for the price paid keeping in mind the Kiev is relatively expensive. The staff was trying to accommodate requests and fairly helpful. the room was ok and the overall stay was about right. Not the best I have stayed but not the worse. If you plan to stay in the room a lot, chose another hotel. If you plan to use the hotel mainly for sleeping, that is a decent choice.

"A promise"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 6, 2013
I arrived at the hotel about 10 pm on New Year's eve and the restaurant was closed. I asked for a vending machine and was told there was none. I made do with the free tea and water in the room. I was not happy. There were not even take out menus from nearby places. The entertainment menu showed no movies. Not even if I paid for it. That said I would still choose this hotel on a next trip because of the wonderful service and cleanliness of the place. I felt always very safe there and there is a shuttle from and to the airport. You however have to book the shuttle in advance and I did not know that so it was rather frustrating. They also have a great breakfast spread with healthy choices included. The hotel manager is accessible and will listen to your suggestions which was important to me.

"Great Hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Nov 16, 2012
This is a great hotel. It is close to the downtown area. Short walking distance to the metro, shopping mall and the downtown area. This is my favorite hotel. I will stay at this hotel next year.

The hotel was very nice at a fair price for the quality of the hotel. There were only two things I was missing. Your website lists that the room is equipped with a hair dryer when it was not. This should be standard for a 4,5 star hotel. Also the quality of the bed mattress was sub standard.
"An intimate Hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Aug 25, 2012
I was very satisfied with the hotel and staff. The small restaurant served a free breakfast that has to be the finest I have ever had. The lunch and dinner was also very good.
