"Probably not the best option"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 6, 2013
Grand, well decorated place. Comfortable room. A little far from down town. Gym not bad, decent treadmills, a bench, and some dumbbells. My biggest problem was the western breakfast - a common problem in Taiwan 4 stars - absolutely horrible.
"Hotel room not having 3 beds"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 4, 2013
This was not a hotel issue, however on the hotels.com website it said we would have 3 beds, which the hotel does not have. We had one double and one single bed, the 2nd kid slept on the floor on the couch and chair cushions pulled off. The hotel would not give us a courtesy bed even after confirming that our reservation said we would have 3 beds.

"Close to flower-jade market"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 15, 2013
Great location for weekend jade market. Also close to MRT. Very friendly and professional staff. Rooms could use some updating. Bathroom needed some TLC.

"Convenient"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Dec 16, 2012
A bit of strange smell from the toilet. Apart from that it's ok. 5mins walk to metro station.

The walls are not very sound proof - you can hear some one sneeze frome some where outside the room. The carpet in the hall way is old and not very clean. The bed is extremely hard with hardly any padding at all. Otherwise, the room is clean, the hotel staff is very friendly and helpful and the location is quite convenient and close to the Taipei train station.
"Suburban location, helpful staff, "chinese" smell"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Oct 29, 2012
Hotel is OK, staff very helpful. The location is suburban, 10 minutes walk to nearest metro station + 12 minute ride to Taipei 101. Neighbourhood is grimy, hole in wall mom and pop shops and cafes, no restaurant of any reasonable intl standard. Hotel has "chinese" smell (I am not being racist, but this is a smell which is famously absent in the higher end branded hotels) and it bleeds into western inhouse cooking. Room service has 3 items and is limited to hotel restaurant hours. Breakfast inlcuded but suffers from similar bleeding of chinese flavours into eggs, etc. It's a good holel if your business is further "out" at Nangang exhibition or academica sinica: not good if you are on holiday and want to live near to the action.
