Some Rooms are better than others. As long as you know that this is an service apartment, you will be OK. It is very convenient to the long distance bus terminal and train station, but it takes 5-10 minutes to walk to the closest subway stop.
"close to MRT"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 10, 2013
Hotel was across the street from the MRT.In a area of lots of shops. The hotel itself was next to a boutique.called MANA.Found it aftert we passed it.The room was tiny, then we stayed another 2 nites ..each nite cost more and room got bigger. anither note older people you must climb stairs and carry own luggage. over a;; good clean and cheap. we would stay again due to close to market and metro. very very clean.
"Close to subway"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 10, 2013
It's quite a decent hotel, and it's about 10 minutes walk from a subway station. One can take an express bus to the Taoyuan Airport from a bus stop very close to the hotel. Free wired internet access (it's free if you book the room from Hotels.com, they will waive the fee, you can confirm when you check in). However, it doesn't come with free breakfast as described on Hotels.com. That's disappointing.
"Ideal place in the hub of Taipei"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 6, 2013
I loved the CityInn Hotel, so much that after five months I came back and felt compelled to leave them a sterling review. Great English support (I cannot speak a lick of Mandarin), room cleanliness was excellent, beautiful shower, and the bed was very comfortable. Nice, trendy place that is in a somewhat inconspicuous road, approximately a 10 min walk from the Taipei Main Station. Would recommend for couples or singles who plan on walking or using mass transit for a short stay. A+!

"Perfect Taipei Spot"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 4, 2013
I read reviews about this hotel before booking it. I was a little hesitant because other people mentioned that the hotel was old and there was a musty smell in the room, etc. I booked it anyways because my friend lives near the area of the hotel (took my chances kinda). Boy was I surprised. None of the above issues were true for my stay. I booked a deluxe double. The room was spacious and clean. The hotel staff are very nice and helpful. I e-mailed the hotel for transport from TPE and the driver was really nice. I am very satisfied with my stay at this hotel, and would recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat. LOCATION is one of the asset of this hotel since it sooooo close to the train station. Being from the NYC area, I could compare that this hotel is located along Fifth Ave or Madison Ave. The surrounding area is safe. You could hail a cab at anytime... and the taxi drivers are VERY honest.

I enjoyed my stay very much. The staff was outstanding. The Concierge, Claire, was extraordinarily helpful. She made my stay a pleasure.
