Buzios Hotels

A vivacious palm treed paradise simmering with flair and fancy, Buzios reclines on its beach gilded peninsula in relaxed style. A humble fishing village turned international holiday destination by none other than Mademoiselle Bardot, the seaside town blends sophisticated glamor with rustic charm. Lux boutiques, fine restaurants, and nighttime meccas provide the buzz, whilst idyllic sun soaked surroundings provide the respite. Here you can feast on culture, indulge in life’s luxuries, or simply grab an ice-cold caipirinha and top up your tan to the Bossa Nova.

Things to see

If there’s one thing Buzios is known for, it’s golden sunbaked sand and glassy teal water. With more than 20 beaches on the peninsula, each pristine parcel offers something a little different. Geriba Beach is a popular one amongst surfers and the trendy young party crowd, whilst Joao Fernandes is much more of a family vibe. Buzio’s epicenter is Rua das Pedras. Buzzing with charm, culture, and an unmistakable Brazilian flair, the quaint cobblestoned street is flanked by tantalizing eateries, chic shopping opportunities, and Buzio’s most pulsing nightlife haunts. Back in the 60’s when Buzio was little more than a fishing village, the iconic French actress Brigitte Bardot visited from nearby Rio, in order to flee the paparazzi. The blonde bombshell made quite an impression, so much so there’s now a bronze statue of her gazing out to sea. You’ll find it along the Orla Bardot oceanfront promenade, a picturesque stroll between Praia da Armacao and Rua das Pedras.
