We flew into Phuket at about 2am and walked to this hotel, which was maybe 10 minutes. The walk was perfectly safe; it was down a road with normal people and only a few stray dogs. The owner popped right out from behind a door when we walked in. Our room was fine; the bed was firm. They arranged a taxi to Rassada Pier for us the next morning.

"Great Family resort"

While this resort is fairly isolated, it was great for a quiet family vacation. The beach was superb! Very long beach with clean white sand. We loved the food and ate there often because there were not a lot of other choices. There are other hotels down the beach that are a 10-20 min walk on the beach. Beach chairs were rather dirty but our room was very clean and room service was excellent. All the staff was EXTREMELY friendly and helpful. The resort will set up activities for you which include all your expenses (food, taxi, etc). It's not as classy as a 5 star, but it was a strong 4 star. I would definitely return there except for the 36 hour commute!!!!
"Getaway in Surin Beach"
Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 23, 2014
We stayed here for 2 nights. We chose this hotel because of the location to Surin Beach. The rooms were very clean and well-maintained. The customer service was outstanding. The continental breakfast was also one of the most impressive I've seen compared to the other hotels we've been in Thailand. The proximity to Surin beach was a short easy 3 minute walk, and they provided beach towels for us. Although I will say there's nothing else other than the strip of eats/restaurants along Surin Beach within walking distance. The prices for the restaurants were a bit on the high end, when we were really craving good old cheap street food. Russians like to go to Phuket, so you'll find a lot of menus with Russian writing as well.
