overall was very good. Great location. English seemed to be challenging for the staff.
"Private beach"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 20, 2013
We spent a week at Crown Plaza and we loved it. I suggest to all families. Although hotel was fully booked, beach, restaurants and pools were not crowded. It has a private beach, 2 big pools, spa center and 2 great restaurants. It's far from Kata and Patong but if you rent a car with driver, it takes 45 minutes to go to these locations.
"Great place."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 8, 2013
Super comfortable, it's on the beach, breakfast was good. Also some really good food options right next door on the beach. it's a little out of town... cabs are expensive, so rent a car at the airport and you'll breakeven and have more freedom
"Great Staff"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 29, 2013
Even though the language was a barrier, they were very accomodating. The hotel layout is a little spreadout, far from the main lobby and dinning room but the rooms had an amazing view!!
"Happy, not thrilled"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 27, 2013
Very nice hotel, friendly staff. They had a reasonable and helpful late check out policy. It was about a 10 minute walk to either town or the beach. The surrounding neighborhood really needs to be cleaned up. It really detracted from the overall experience.

Everything was very good except the room needs updating. Exceptional location.

"Amazing views, great privacy!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 3, 2013
Hotel is amazing, and you are guaranteed seclusion and privacy, especially if you stay in a pool or spa villa! The tuk-tuk is really convenient to take you around the hotel, but push yourself to get some exercise. Food service was the biggest disappointment. The food is good, standard breakfast buffet we had in all hotels in Thailand. But they are incredibly slow, don't come to your table for an hour or more at a time. Do yourself a favor and when needed, just walk up to the bar and tell them what you need. Also, order just beer or wine - the bartenders are incredibly conservative, to the point where I think all our drinks may have been virgin. Other than that, the only annoyance is they may not clean your room until 3 or 4.

Perfect amenities, wonderful spa, beautiful and romantic and luxurious room and facitlities, outstanding service. Would love to stay here again. You need to take a taxi to go anywhere else outside of resort.

I have a 70% travel schedule for buisness. Although this was not a buisness trip, this was one of the first times I was suprised that the accomidations were actually much nicer than advertised! The staff, the room, the free perks and the fact that EVERY room faces the sea, made for a very magicial and relaxing respite.
