"Surpised to see no staff on property"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 18, 2013
I did not expect there to be NO staff at the properaty. I needed to ask a couple of questions about parking, but there was nobody to talk to. Also, it was not clear that the access code was not valid until 4 pm. Most hotels you can show up, and leave suitcases if you room is not ready. Especially important if you are arriving early in the morning from the USA. However, the connect phone put me through to custoner service, and my room was ready, so it was ok. Overall, nice hotel, rooms - just be aware that there is no staff on property ! You have to call someone at a corporate office to get inforamtion.

"Good time in Stockholm"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Oct 26, 2012
Getting from the airpot to the hotel was easy. I took the Airpot train with took about 20-30 minutes to get into the Central Station. I transferred to the subway and only had to travel to the second stop before I was near the hotel. It didn't take long at all, maybe 8-10 minutes. Then it was a short walk to the hotel that took a few minutes. It's up one block take a left. It's easy spotted in the middle of the block because the hotel flag in the photo is hanging out front. I was impressed with the service and welcome the staff gave. They helped me find a laundry mat with is not easy to find in Stockholm. The staff answered all of my questions and had good recommendations for restaurants and attractions in Stockholm. If they have time to chat you will find they are friendly and nice people. I enjoyed my room with a single bed, it was comfortable clean and modern. I loved the fact they had internet that worked great. The breakfasts are decent. The breads, meat, cheese and jams they have are outstanding. I wish they would have had some more fruit and maple syrup for the waffles. In the end I enjoyed the great breads and the breakfast overall. Would I return to the Hellsten Hotel? I would return with out hesitation and look forward to visiting again very soon.
"Stockholm Family trip"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Sep 5, 2012
This is a perfect place to stay in the friendly location, with easy access to the public transportation -- only two blocks to the subway. Also there is a small shopping place around the corner, which is called "Fältöversten" for some quick shopping and a bit of eating. in the evenings.
