A Moscow city break means a weekend of extremes, with Orthodox domes jostling Stalinist skyscrapers,...

the room is quite small for the money I paid. I guess I paid more for the convenience of the airport itself being so close to the hotel. That's all. There was no bath tub as described. I just had a shower space, but it did not have much of a separation from the rest of the bathroom itself, so even trying not to splash around, the water was everywhere, so I had to towel dry the bathroom's floor. The food was quite expensive as well, you do not have a choice, I guess, because there are no supermarkets around, the hotel is quite isolated from other public places, so you have to pay whatever the hotel requires to get the services like food, etc. I was so hungry after my trip that I had to order food, AND THE BOTTLED WATER, since the hotel does not provide bottled drinkable water in their rooms. There was absolutely nothing to drink. The faucet water was far from "drinkable", I would call that water a "technical water" more than anything. So they do charge you even for the drinkable water that you have to buy!!!
"Great stay!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 23, 2013
Awesome location! Close to the metro station Arbatskaya, which is important when you just arrived, and the Kremlin. Only took us 20 min to walk to the Red Square! And it was a very enjoyable walk :) Staff was very friendly. Room was clean. There is a very beautiful restaurant downstairs that was a perfect dinner spot and also offered a great complimentary breakfast for guests of the hotel.

"Nice hotel, but...."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Sep 19, 2012
I was traveling the Moscow for a sports tournament. We used to double rooms. The hotel has nice exterior and lobby appearance. Upon arrival we had a receptionist the spoke only a little English. I thought this would not be a problem as surely there would be better English speakers during our stay at the reception, but this was not the case. We had difficultly each time we had to go to reception for something. The hotel location as not near anything. There is a shuttle to the Metro station, which can take between 3 minutes and 25 minutes depending on traffic... usually about 15 minutes, and runs every 40 minutes. Traffic is TERRIBLE. Don't drive unless you have to. Shuttle is comfortable and was always on-time. Kremlin is 35 minutes on Metro. Elevator (lift) is small and jerky, but we never had a problem. Toilet in one room was not working for 2 days. Beds are hard, but adequate. Otherwise, nice hotel, very little English, good price, difficult location.
"Great Place To Stay"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Aug 27, 2012
Great time here. Great location near subway, restaurants, night clubs, Red Square, and many nearby stores means you don't have to walk too long to get around. Hostel staff is very courteous, helpful, and speak English very well. They will also book tours, taxis, and train tickets for you if asked. My only major complaint was about the laundry service which was incredibly slow. Recommended!
"Good value for money"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jul 25, 2012
We enjoyed our two-night stay at this hotel. There are two parts to it - Gamma and Delta - make sure you know which one you're booking in, otherwise it's a bit confusing because they have separate lobbies, reception staff, elevators, etc. The hotel is really big - mostly caters to Chinese tour groups. Five stops on the metro to the Kremlin which is really convenient; great souvenir attraction called Ismailovo Market right outside the hotel; mall with KFC next to hotel; superb restaurant on premises; great water pressure with shower; and free drinking water available on each floor so you can refill your bottle. Recommended.

The staff was friendly and helpful to all my questions and/or request. A little off the center of Moscow but a straight shot to downtown. WiFi is free and worked perfectly with all my devices.
"Good choice for Moscow, Russia!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 10, 2012
My family and I liked this apartment. It was close to the metro station and in an excellent location for food and to get around Moscow. The agent was waiting at the apartment exactly when he said he would be there and it was large and clean. The jacuzzi tub worked only OK, but the rest of the property more than made up for that.
