The building of the hotel looks very scary from outside. We did not have too much trust, but at the end it was a nice surpise. It's like a time travel, there is a lovely old lady with a fax machine(!) receiving the reservations, no computer, keycard, whatsoever. The room was very nice, clean with niec old style wooden beds. It was supposed to be a bit unconfrotable, but after a feew classes of porto wine I did not notice it at all. The location is pretty clsoe to the river and it's just a short walk to get to the center. In short, it's a great bargain.
"Excellent location in the old town"

Very convenient to pedestrian shopping area as well as public transportation. Not a place to take a car. Good location for walkers and those who wish to see the historic aspects of the city. Hotel staff very professional, buffet breakfast more than adequate. Very quiet rooms in older hotel which underwent renovations, Everything worked!

The hotel is 10 minutes away from the metro station which is clean, unexpensive and reliable. It takes about 20 minutes to get to the "real" downtown where the attractions are. Our room was large, clean and confortable. The staff was very helpful, friendly, and speaks English fluently. The breakfast buffet is large and of good quality. The hotel sells bus and Aquarium tickets at a discounted price, so you get a great deal and you don't have to wait in line.
