  My husband and I went here with friends for Christmas 2012. It was a very lovely place to stay, we barely left the hotel. Sintra is also a beautiful city. The lamb burger at the 24 hour lounge was really good. Wasn't too impressed with the Italian restaurant in the hotel.

  The Hotel was situated right in the center of the historical district. I guess because we went off season (October) and on a week day, they gave us a room on the top floor with a amazing wrap around patio that looked strait up at the Castello dos Moros (sorry if I misspelled that). Perhaps we got lucky and the rest of the rooms aren't that good, but in our one week travelling around Portugal, this was the best room we got all week and for a similar price as all the rest. The hotel was clean, the lobby beautiful, the service good and the facilities respectable. The only cons I can give this hotel is that occasionally the electricity fluttered in our room and, in general, the hotel is not updated...but I don't think an updated hotel fits the rustic region. This hotel has the appropriate atmosphere for the city I think

  It was a short stay, the staff was friendly,curtious and helpful. The food at the local restaurants were great. I had the one bedroom off the pool, I enjoyed the view, the breeze everything.

  Great staff and great value. Hotel is actually one bedroom apts. with kitchen, living area, bedroom, and a jacuzzi tub. I could live in this hotel........
