We booked 11 nights in this hotel and we would have been happy to stay longer but our schedule did not allow it. Hotel Velamar is the best value for money hotel that we have ever stayed in. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel has four floors and the restaurant is on the fourth floor with panoramic views of the sea and surrounding countryside making breakfast and very pleasant meal. Our only complaint was that the bed was hard. The location is very good, there is a wide range of inexpensive restaurants within a few minutes walk of the hotel and the buses to/from Albufeira stop close to the hotel.

Everything was good ,exept the bad internet €50 for one week , and we had to go out to get a connection, sometimes in rain and cold.

Easy to find (if you are driving)-w/in the main thourougfare. Hotel furnitures are somewhat outdated. Very helpful staff. wifi is not free and house computers in the lobby (fees).

The food for breakfast was good. The dinner food was just average and the location required either driving where it was hard to find parking or taking a taxi. The nightclub entertainment was good, particularly the group with three girls singing popular songs in several languages. We should have added another day so we could enjoy the beach in Albufiera.

Nice hotel in good location. Fitness center needs lot of improvement: not enough equipment, machines out of order, equipment in bad shape, opens too late.

The hotel room was satisfactory, comfortable, and clean. The staff was courteous and helpful. The pluses were the Restaurant Martins across the street and the beach access just down the hill. Price was very reasonable considering this was the Algarve in summer.
