"Exceeded expectations"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 25, 2013
My boyfriend and I found this hotel to be comfortable, clean, and more conveniently located than expected. The immediate area surround the hotel is fine during the day and a little sketchy at night. Down the street a little further the area is sketchy but it's avoidable. There is a convenient breakfast cafeteria, gas station, grocery store, movie theater, a few higher end restaurants down the street (look up Casita Miramar on Yelp) which was really nice. You need a car if you want to get to Viejo San Juan and Condado. Definitely a hotel geared for business-related stays vs. tourists but it works out well regardless. Finding street parking can be challenging. We valeted for $15/night two of the nights and found street parking one night.

As always, we enjoyed our stay in this simple, out f the way, hotel.
"Quaint place, very comfortable, super staff"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 23, 2013
Thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the stay. Room was cool and comfortable, the decorations throughout we're funky and enjoyable. Taxi driver had a hard time finding the location from address alone; print out a Mapquest map to show the driver and should be me problem. Do NOT drive your own or rental in Old San Juan - there is no parking to be found. Really. Hotel has a minimal do-it-yourself breakfast.
"Right in the heart of Old San Juan"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 23, 2013
It was not fancy, but was located right in the center of Old San Juan. The staff was very helpful with taxis, maps, recommendations for dinner and breakfast, and directions. The room was very clean and comfortable.
"Great stay for the rate!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 23, 2013
Perfect accommodations for our purposes. Parked the car, enjoyed the sights and shops with no worries. Minutes from old San Juan also.
"Lovely but overpriced"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 23, 2013
I was disappointed becàuse I thought I was booking a larger room , maybe even one with a terrace or balcony, based on the price and the hotel photos. Our room was small, no closet, , but clean. The bed was great! the staff was very helpful. We were down the street from the most beautiful beach, took the public bus almost every day to Old San Juan. the hotel is surrounded by large lovely homes and empty half torn down apartments. .....the real Puerto Rico.

The young man checking us in could not have been nicer. He told us our room was ready but if we waited a little while longer he could get us a little nicer room. He was very pleasant to deal with. The bellman was equally nice. We try to stay there on our way home for one night and we are very rarely disappointed.

"Perfect for a quick stop"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 21, 2013
We were in San Juan for only a day and a half and the Miramar worked well for a quick visit. We saw Old San Juan and had a good dinner close by at Limas. Breakfast at the Miramar was good and we had excellent service from Sean, our waiter. Be sure to check out the roof if you stay here.
