"Pleasant Stay"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 2, 2013
Hotel will be undergoing extensive room renovations to be completed by March 2013 I believe. I've stayed here many times and enjoy the hotel/casino however the rooms were in need of some sprucing up. Can't wait for my next visit in may 2013 so i can see all the renovations first hand. Prices have gone up a bit but I still consider it a good value for the money.
"Nice Hotel in Convenient Location"Reviewed by Mike V. of "California, USA" on Dec 2, 2010
I chose this economically priced hotel, knowing that it is not a four-star property, because I saw numerous positive reviews about it from previous guests on Hotels.com and other travel websites. It is fairly new, having been built in 2007, and its overall condition reflects the relative newness of this well-maintained property. I also chose it because it is near the very large and modern Robinsons indoor shopping mall, which is comparable to any fine mall in the U.S., and the main entrance was just across the street from the hotel. The hotel is also well-positioned within the city of Manila. Excellent convenience. I had a standard room, which was fine for two people and provided sufficient space, an in-room safe, desk and small table with chairs. Although I dined on a few occasions at the restaurants in the mall, I pleasantly discovered that the room service meals at the hotel are priced below those mall restaurants, and the hotel fare is of generous portions, good quality and there is no service charge tacked on. Complimentary breakfast buffet is included with the room, and the offerings varied each day, which was good. FYI, housekeeping, i.e., making up the bed, etc. is not automatic each day, but when you do want some tidying up done, just call the front desk and they will happily oblige. I didn't consider this a negative at all. The staff responds quickly and politely when incidentals such as ice, more toilet paper or fresh towels are needed. Also, you can arrange through the hotel for pick-up at the airport and then return to the airport when your stay is done. When I was there, it was a flat fee of 400P for one person; I was told that it would be an additional 200P for each person in my party. It's nice not to have to hassle about the price because on past visits to the Philippines, I have had situations where taxi drivers have tried to bump up the price simply because I was a foreigner. Not so with the hotel van; the stated fare was the actual fare with no h
