This is the only hotel with a 5 star rating in Accra - recently refurbished rooms are very comfortable, lovely bathroom , nice decor. Pity there are no chairs for the balconies. Service was very good, staff very attentive and helpful. Nice pool, the private beach is sandwiched between public ones that have a lot of noise and loud music at week ends - but at least you can see and hear the sea. This hotel is not cheap though and, be warned, the check in is at 2 pm but you may not be able to get into your room till 3 or 4 pm and the check out is 10 am, which is ridiculous .”
Conveniently situated for air travelers. The rooms are comfortable and very clean, not cheap though. The restaurant is attractive and the food is good. The swimming pool is very clean and attractive, surrounded by well-maintained gardens where coconut trees abound!”
Overall the hotel was ok although the rates are not reflective of what you might expect to get. The shower in the room was very poor certainly not what you want after a long hot day.”
My third stay at Golden Tulip and at least the bed was good this time. Room 2201 has the first comfortable bed there. Rooms 2205 and 2209 have beds like pool tables. Food is excellent and everything about the place is great so long as you get a decent bed”
We enjoyed our stay very much at the hotel. The staff were always friendly and willing to help when and where possible. The only downfall that there was is that the service is somewhat lacking in terms of speed. I would suggest that they change the menu to read "crayfish" and not "lobster" as there is a significant difference between the two, especially when you expect a lobster on your plate and find a VERY small crayfish - this is somewhat misleading. We were impressed with the amount of security on the premises and felt safe at all times. All in all a very pleasant stay and we look forward to going back again.”
We had a lovely stay which turned into 3 nights at this bed & breakfast. For us, the place was just right- affordable and comfortable, located in the center of a bussling historic town, providing free access to a beautiful beach resort with pool down the road; & easily accessible to Kukum National Park & Cape Coast for day trips. Plus, the staff are professional and friendly. Just be aware that taking taxis everywhere will eat into your wallet. Taking shared taxis or the tro-tros is much more affordable if you're on a tight budget. Overall- staying at Coconut Grove Bridge House was a great experience.”
Great Hotel- friendly staff. Most things about this hotel were stellar except for the terrible dinner food. Besides the instant diarrhea it was a hit. With that said, the breakfast was the best I had in Ghana. Wifi didn' work in my room but it worked in the lounge area which had mosquitos. Outdoor basketball+ tennis court and beautiful view of the ocean coast line. I have already recommended it to others and I will likely return (although I probably won't eat the dinner again. Good job overall.”
My stay was very pleasant, the pool warm and room exceptionally clean. The food was not to our taste and we could only eat the Pizza. I would pay more for food I can east. The beauty of the place is overwhelming and I will definitely visit it again for a longer stay. The walks on the Beach in the evening is to die for and the lone Island not far away very inviting. I loved the place and My wife loved it even more.”
