The service was good, however the resort needs to be maintained better. The main door handle fell off as soon as we moved in. The balcony did not close and could not be locked. However, all this was fixed quickly as soon as we reported. The safe was all rusted and paint peeling off.The swimming pool needs major repairs. Far away from other resorts.”
The time spent in Bora Bora was amazing. We went for our honeymoon, and didn't have anything specific planned, except R&R - which Le Meridien Bora Bora were specialists at. Being able to relax on your on private balcony and dive right off it into vivd clear blue waters when you got to hot was fantastic. Swimming with the turtles and the amazing coloured fish in the hotel lagoon is experience you can't miss - the turtles and fish are so inquisitive and friendly. When you need to get away from the hotel, there is a shuttle boat every hour to the main island where you can go shopping for souvenirs, black plearls or get out and about for a change of scenery. Otherwise the activities desk at the hotel has an abundance of activities to enjoy - we went on the shark and ray feeding tour which was a great experience. We found Le Meridien Bora Bora caters for everyone and their needs. They make you feel extremely welcome and nothing is too hard.”
We were very happy with the service at checkin We did not have to wait at the desk.We were asked to sit down in the lobby. The receptionist asked us to fill out the forms we were given a welcome drink and then shown to our room”
We enjoyed our stay very much. Hotel was well maintained and front desk staff were terrific. Restaurant was a bit short-staffed and pricey. Wonderful beachfront location and view, but nowhere nearby worth walking to. But we liked how it was away from the main tourist area, in a real Tahitian neighbourhood, and close to historic Point Venus. Dance groups were great.”
We stayed in a lagoon view room which was very comfortable. The hotel is in a beautiful location overlooking a spectacular infinity pool, the lagoon & Moorea. The hotel suited our needs as it is close to the airport. We used arranged tours which picked us up & dropped us off each day. We found the 30 minute trip on "the bus" from Papeete to the hotel a comfortable & very cheap way to travel during the day.”
Beachfront property with beautiful grounds and a large sand bottom swimming pool in center. Quite impressed with size of the dlx room we stayed in...Spacious, very comfortable king bed, large bathroom with 2 sinks, bathtub and separate shower. A/C worked really well. Small fridge in room with coffee/tea facilities...good start in the mornings...However can't comment on restaurant (Le Carré) as we went out for lunches and dinners daily. Great staff and service, welcoming and friendly in pure polynesian style and culture. Check it out for yourself, if you get a chance to visit French Polynesia. Hotel is 20mns (max) from airport...a good stopover for a nite or more. The sunsets over the island of Moorea are spectacular !”
Legends was a great resort to stay in. The staff are excellent as is the facilities. Being up on a hill gives you a great outlook, but it can be a pain to walk up. The staff are happy to whizz you around in their golf carts though, always with a great looking Tahitian smile. Having cooking facilities is a plus.... but there are also some great little restaurants within 5 mins drive dotted nearby. We found renting a scooter for 24 hours great value as it gives you mobility for sightseeing, shopping and groceries. Legends private island is also fantastic as it is located in a safe channel that many other activity providers use, meaning you get free access. We saw giant sting rays and more than 20 different types of coral fish. All in all, Legends is a great place for 2 or a small family.”
We booked the overwater bungalow with panoramic view when we arrived there there was no panoramic view bungalow anywhere they are all the same!!! The only difference is that you may face more of the ocean in some and more of the land in others. In other hotels panoramic view is at the end out in the ocean and completely unobstructed this is NOT what this hotel offers. So save your money and book the base price overwater. Also the hotel restaurant is very overpriced and without much variety. A bottle of water is about 8.50 us and a burger and fries 45.00 us which in my opinion is outrageous! There is nothing close to the hotel as far as stores within walking distance so you need a taxi which is about 20.00 us each way. All in all it's a good hotel but very overpriced.”
We stayed at a premium overwater bungalow during our honeymoon... Our bungalow was fantastic and we spent 5 days on the balcony spotting turtles and eagle rays and soaking up the sun... Totally recommend a premium overwater bungalow for a romantic break... We did the 2 hour jet ski tour through the hotel to feed the stingrays and blacktip reef sharks which was a definite highlight... I normally hate jet skis but since this was a great 2 hour tour and we got to stop and watch a pod of dolphins play it was better than doing a boat tour when you have such an amazing bungalow... Only complaint I have is the food was very sub-standard... The breakfast buffet has very bad coffee and a lot of the food has ants crawling on it or birds pecking away at it... At dinner there were a couple of feral cats which were hanging around that the staff actually fed... That would definitely not be allowed to happen in Australia...”
Very large "American style" property with impressive artificial beaches and swimming pools. Restaurants good but ultra-expensive. Internet connection is poor and expensive. Close to airport but there are no airport shuttles to the hotel.”
Clean efficient hotel. Very good for airport access. Staff friendly and helpful. Could have designed an elevator or lift into self in the beginning...an issue if someone had lots of luggage and assigned an upper floor room.”
