PARIS is lovely city and you will forget all none satified items.hotel was good and all staff are kind and they have high responsibility.it is too close Eifel Tower and access to metro station is fine. but hotel is getting old and maintenance isnt well.”
The Hotel is at the border of the 9th and 10th arrondisements, and is a quick walk to the #7 Metro line which can connect you to most major sights. Owners and staff are all very helpful and accommodating. The rooms are small with little storage space for clothes, yet the bathrooms are modernized and clean. The elevator is tiny and could benefit from a new, clean carpet. Breakfast, for ten euros, is served in the basement room and has fresh rolls, good coffee, cereal, yogurt, orange juice, but no hot food. Rooms on the tiny courtyard side face an abandoned building that is a refuge for an army of pigeons, so the cooing noise can be better than the noise from the street from the other rooms. We had a couple of minor problems with the room in the beginning (safe key didn't work, new light bulb needed), but staff quickly heard and fixed our concerns. The hotel does not have air conditioning. There are good brasseries and restaurants nearby, some ethnic foods including Japanese and Thai among them.”
My boyfriend and I had a lovely stay here. We stayed here in October and the hotel was fairly quiet. The rooftop pool is lovely with plenty of space for sunbathing! It's probably less than 15 mins walk to the old town.”
Hotel Location was perfect... Overall the Decor in the Bedroom was very dated & certainly needs to be given a "make over".. A Simple coat of Paint would go a long way ! Didnt have Breakfast in the Hotel so cant comment on that. Did have a evening Meal in their Restaurant & it was very good. But again too expensive (€13.80 for a Vodka & Diet Coke !!) .Public transport between Airport & hotel very cheap & easy...The No. 98 Bus is the one to take.. Nice is a lovely City BUT it is So very Expensive, Food, Drink, clothes everything....It makes Ireland look cheap.... I prefer Sorrento !”
Lovely hotel, right across from the Med, however the ocean seemed very unsafe, strong currents and waves plus very rocky beach. Only saw 2 people using the ocean during my four night say! Also, if you wished to used the facilities of the hotel swimming pool, add another €18 a day to your trip to utilise the sunbeds with cushions! The hotel was a €18 taxi ride to the real city centre!”
Hotel 3-14 is in a great location. Half way between la croisette and rue d'Antibes. What more could a girl want?? Cafe's all around. The staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. We were given an "AFRICA" room. (Each floor is a different theme) The decor was good, but the room was quite dark. They used to have bathrobes and slippers for your use, but this time it was only the bath robes. The bar by the swimming pool on the roof was a great place to sit and relax. We didn't manage to try out the spa (maybe next time!) We've stayed there before, and would probably do so again (unless something drastic happens) The concierge were very helpful trying to sort out our change of tickets.”
Very well run hotel. Property is charming and very clean. Staff was very professional. Pool area lovely. Walk to beach takes about 10 minutes. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for children. It's atmosphere is formal.”
I found this hotel very good for how much it cost. It's in a very good location, right beside the train station and within easy reach of the seafront, shopping area and the main bars and restaurants in Cannes. The breakfast was very good, there was a good choice of cereals, jams, fruits etc. Our room was a bit small but it was fine for our 3 night stay.”
What a wonderful little hotel - of the boutique kind. Narrow winding passage ways, taking you up and down stairs. Which is a little claustophobic. Even our room had stairs to the bathroom. Also, the beds in France don't have top sheets, only quilts, which I find a bit hot - the hotel was quick to fix this and provided us a sheet on request on the first night, and with yet another request made up the bed with a sheet on the second night. But it is fresh and clean and quiet - even though our room faced the main drag. The best thing is that just outside the door there are about 20 restaurants, cafes and bars - spoilt for choice.”
Our stay was very pleasant. Had very nice dinner in hotel one night. Hotel is 2 blocks from regional train station which we took from Marseille Airport (45 min), vs. TGV train station, further away, reachable by a bus). Bought breakfast food and water at mini/City Carrefour 2 blocks down main street (next to McDonalds) and filled up mini on refrigerator, as hotel breakfast was EUR 16 per person. Hotel is off Avenue de la Republique. This main street starts to become seedy starting 6:00 pm. Several people did not recommend going out at dark. We ate earlier dinners at bistrots near hotel due to this. Lap pool on roof. Parts of hotel do not have access to an elevator. Had to lug our luggage up 18 stairs. Very charming hotel and would return again. Used Avignon as base to visit Aix-en-Provence via bus (1 1/4 hours); took a mini van tour to Les Baux, and St. Remy and Pont du Gard. Very helpfuland friendly management.”
Regina is a great value for the money. The description is a little outdated, pay wifi only in the rooms, free in the lobby, other than that, as described, good value for a European hotel. Americans who are not experienced will find key amenities missing, primarily A/C, but for the money paid, it wasn't missed at this time of year, the nights cool off just fine.”
