This was a lovely good value hotel, well-located in what is otherwise a very hectic city. Our room on 17F had a fantastic view of the city and the Nile, and was very comfortable, although the bathroom is very small with no bath. The service in the executive lounge was good as was the breakfast buffet and a la carte breakfast service there. Our only gripe was being told that the lounge seats in the Buddha bar were "booked" even though not a single person was there at the time (didn't know you could book seats in a bar!!) and that the taxies hailed by the hotel staff at the entrance consistently refused to use their metres, and quoted ridiculously high prices for short trips.”
My room had a view of Tahrir Square, which for those of you that need a geography lesson, is ground zero for the Egyptian revolution in early 2011. The hotel itself is wonderful. Everything is top-notch, from check-in (allowed to check-in early) to check-out (about 4 PM). This allowed me to use the pool the afternoon I checked in and do some shopping the day I checked out. On Friday, there was a demonstration in the square but it was organized and peaceful. I give this hotel my best recommendation.”
This was the nicest hotel I have stayed at in Egypt. The room was great, the restaurants are excellent, but most importantly the staff were amazing. They took care of every aspect of our family's vacation. For the budget minded family this is a great offer, you get the 5 star hotel at the 3-4 star price and they include airport transfer both ways. That is about a $40 savings. This is a good area, not many other places to eat nearby, but very quiet. City Stars is a 5 min taxi ride away and they can deal with getting you to the tourist places for a better rate than most people can bargain for on the street.”
A fantastic hotel. All the staff were extremely helpful and made us all feel very welcome. Our room was very comfortable and it was cleaned twice a day ! If you are traveling with children under 12 then you cant eat at all the restaurants but there is enough variety for this not to be a problem. As you would expect from a 5 * hotel the food was great but be warned its quite pricey and can be a shock when you pay your bill at the end of your holiday.”
The only drawback is that it is in the southern Sinai peninsula. Great if you are in the Middle East or Europe, but not so great if you are in North America or the Pacific. The surrounding neighborhood, like most of the rest of the Sinai, is dirty (trash filled) desert, but there is no need to leave the Coral Bay complex so that is not a concern at all. Other than that, one could not ask for a better experience. Fantastic rooms, beds, beaches, pools, restaurants, staff, spa...... You name it and it was wonderful! If I was in the area again, I would definitely stay here.”
The staff is very nice. The hotel is good but not to be rated as a 5 stars. The breakfast is ok. The room is standard but the bed wasn’t comfortable, Location of the Hotel is nice 10-15 minutes walking to the restaurants and coffee shops area in Nema Bay. The pool and the beach side are very good.”
I enjoyed the five nights I spent at this fine hotel in November of this year. I found the staff to be very professsional -- responsive and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The TV was a bit small and out-dated; but, I didn't travel to Egypt to watch TV. The fitness center/gym could use some more modern exercise equipment. The breakfast buffet was outstanding. I enjoyed having breakfast on the outdoor patio with a fabulous view of the Nile and the opposite shore. The nightly cultural entertainment in the courtyard is excellent. I would certainly stay there again. I felt very safe and comfortable during my stay. A restaurant in the area that I would recommend is The Jewel of the Nile, serving both lunch and dinner.”
As a constant solo traveller, I always look for super attractive hotel by all means. This hotel was an excellent choise for me regarding comfort, convinience, relaxation, view on the Nile, good prices and very good food. I loved my stay in it. The only drawback in it was the location. It was in the middle of a very local area which was not clean, not attractive, not very safe. I am not sure about the security around the hotel, but I suppose it was good because we had no problem. I would deffinetely recommend it to family and friends.”
the hotel was lovely & in an amazing postion. if you wanted somewhere peaceful away from the hubbub this is it. my only slight complint would be that one young man who came to check the mini bar asked a few too many questions about my stay , my age & marital status. I am use to this as I have visited egypt many times & my husband is egyptian , but staying on my own i dont want to be questioned in my room. He was polite & did nothing wrong its just I felt a little uncomfatble.”
Great place to stay, service is of high standards. Only two things that would have been a plus to the hotel would be: Free Parking - As currently you pay extra charge to park your car in the Hotel's parking area. Having a kettle in the rooms for Tea & Coffee”
Its all about staff when you describe a good hotel & Alexandria's four seasons is a great hotel simply because it has the best staff & Managment ! By the way the 4 seasons Nile plaza sucks”
it was fantastics holiday, excellent hotel for a family. but the only problem was the crowd in urrounding neighbourhood and the city itself”
