Beautiful hotel; good service and great entertainment. Food is ok although could improve if salt level is reduced. Restaurants which require reservation offer better service and food. In general, had a great vacation.”
We enjoyed the honeymoon of our dreams. EVERYTHING was TOP OF THE LINE; our room, the restaurants, the beach & pools, the cleanliness and beauty of the entire property, and most importantly-THE STAFF. We've traveled to some great resorts during our lives, but none had as gracious & accomodating a staff as Excellence, Punta Cana. A few of the EXTRA special staff members were Amilton Soumil, Natalie Guerrero, Sonia Sanchez, Ramon Marte, Tito, & Catalina. We will always have special memories of our time at Excellence, Punta Cana and are already planning a return trip. We highly recommend Excellence, Punta Cana.”
At first I thought the extra money for the Elegance Club might not be worth it. However, after a day or two at the fully booked resort, I quickly discovered it was worth every penny. A private beach and pool makes finding a lounge chair or beach bed much easier. There are a few other extras that add to it, but those are the two big add ins.”
The hotel is centrally located on walking distance from Restaurants and shopping mall recomended only during daytime. The service from staff is excelllent the rooms are clean and recently painted. Gardens are well maintained. I had a very pleasant stay the only complaint is that I had to pay for the parking .”
I loved my trip. hotel needs better pillows and we had 3 rooms on this trip and the airconditioning had to be fixed in 2 of them, but they did it right away when asked. This next one is a major concern, and it might be the reason why I wouldnt stay there again. the food at the late night snack 11 am to 6am was horrible. nothing was hot, they wouldnt replace the sternos when i pointed it out to them,even walking into the kitchen to find someone, keeping food below 40 or above 140 degrees is very crucial to keeping it safe. and I worry if they treat food like that in front of people how do they handle it when the public can't see it.”
I have stayed at this hotel three times and twice on the ninth floor and I liked it. I think the ninth floor is worth the extra money as the service and the food and the extras are great. Best hotel I ever stayed at in the Dominican Republic.”
I have been there 3 times before i am back because the time we lose at th reception desk on the arrival . i made a suggestuin why people with a comfirmation and also the payment paid via credit card most wait in the line , they should have special area for toses people like the airlines at the airport when nobody in first class the called other people waiting . also i made very often that except the eggs in the mot=rning the food are cold .many people find that this is only a hot system with not the hot lights over so after few minute the food are COLD please visit the buffet area also i have problem with the little taxi or shuttel when i want to go from my room to the buffet ot to any area it took some time more than 15 minutes to wait outside near the building to wait. so that can be better service over in my room the tv was not working after few monutes this was set upo because the batteries was down in the manette s o this can be solve by having also this check by the mad . also the pillow used are not comfortable to big maybe they use a set of 2 large and 2 big because they used 4 pillow in”
GREAT TIME EVERY TIME. My husband used to work at this hotel and every time we are treated like royalty NOT because he worked there in the past BUT because they know how to treat their guests. I have stayed at this resort 5 times prior to meeting my husband and have always loved the hotel, food, employees, rooms, animation team, everything about it!!! Don't listen to the negative reviews the good outdoes the bad by a long shot. xx”
i am mad beacause when i chek in i think that i pay everything to hotel.com but they charge extra because my wife is from dominican republic and that is not good becasuse i am american and i was the person paying fr the room, so check before you arrive to this hotel”

This visit probably is my one millionth's visit. I grew up going almost every weekend to Boca Chica, (and I am not a spring chicken). For me, it is the best, safest and most beautiful beach near the city. Because of its closeness to the capital, Santo Domingo, it might get overcrowded sometimes, so try to avoid weekends, if possible. Lots of activities lead by hotel staff, very friendly staff, too. Food is great and plenty. Now, if you want excellent seafood, I would suggest to visit an on-site restaurant not included in any packages. Also, you might want to wander outside of the perimeters of the hotel. There are a lot to see and eat in the town. Enjoy!!!”
I've been to Boca Chica twice so far & I love the location of this hotel. It was amazing in every way. We took a local bus from Santo Domingo to save some money & it dropped us off right in front. They have 2 nice pools, a small gym, hair salon, & a few other things that were closed during my stay. The beach is right outside of the hotel. Also the strip of bars, clubs, & restaurants. The room was huge but somewhat dated. If you're looking for a posh hotel, this is not it. It's clean, the food is pretty good, & the location is amazing. In my opinion, that's all you need.”
