We recommend on the hotel. The stuff are polite and pleasant. The rooms are clean and accessorized with all the neccecery items for a family. We stayed in the family suite and it was more than enough. The hotel provides free calls to 37 contries, and even for cellular phones (depends on the country). The hotel is located at Santa Ana, atound 10 minutes from the Multiplaza mall at Askazu and around 20 minutes from the international airport. It is recommended to book the rooms from the Hotels.com website because you get a better price than book it directly from the hotel.”
We arrived in SAn Jose from Costa Rica, We choose this hotel as teh reviews were good bu t essentially we wanted some where neear to the centre of San Jose so we go for a walk around when we arrived. the hotel is beautifully decorted and has all the modern conviences. I can safely say it the hotel was the highlight of our visit to San Jose and we stayed therre for two nights. Out door jacusszi was a bonus. Because of it surroundings it does't offer much in the way of views and out side our bedroom we had an enclosed garden which was very nice and relaxing. Staff were helpful and pancake breakfast were to die for.”
Check-in personnel was very friendly and the foyer was very nice in appearance. It was conveniently located only a couple of blocks from the downtown area. The breakfast buffet had a very good selection.”
Amazing! We spent three nights here during a 17 day trip to Costa Rica - our honeymoon. Monkeys everywhere, staff was super friendly, the hotel premises were divine. A slice of paradise. Very private and super romantic. Take the nature hike with Roger into the national park. He is very knowledgable and friendly. He genuinely likes nature and we were lucky enough to spot sloths, monkeys, and even a snake! Once again the staff made this trip extra memorable as they were incredible hosts and welcomed us. They are all about the "pura vida". 100% worth every penny. One thing though, the premises is full of steep walks and a taxi is necessary to get to Manuel Antonio proper as well as to Quepos. As for getting around the hotel itself staff is readily drive you around in their many golf carts.”
Had a great 3 night stay. Caught 8 sailfish offshore up to 120 lbs! And enjoyed a tour of the nearby nature sanctuary. Beach you can walk to is just ok, but the one where the shuttle runs is very nice. Great restaurant for breakfast and lunch!!”
I consider myself pretty well traveled and this place takes it- it is THE nicest place I've ever seen. The backdrop is unbeatable but is matched by the hospitality of the staff who is there to attend to your every possible whim. I cannot say enough about it they really thought of everything- and I can't wait to go back!!!!”
The rooms were large, bright and clean. The buffet was all that you would want but requires some discipline to not overeat. Spa was best I visited. The pool was beautiful and was never crowded. Staff are plentiful and so willing to be of quick service. STRONGLY advise NOT using Westwing/Hoel Beds for tours. They screwed up and placed us at serious risk.”
Great hotel and value for a 3 star, very nice rooms (newly finsihed) with a great pool and very clean and nicely landscaped property. Not your typical 3 star hotel you would expect (compared to others), but I guess they rate this on the amount of amenities available. However, the hotel is situated about 8-10 km outside of Tamarindo, so its reccommended that you have a car to get around, because taxi can be quite expensive. There are shuttles that run to the main town of Tamarindo, but these are scheduled times, twice daily.”
We were seeing signs for Tamarindo Diria when we were in Arenal which is quiet a distance away. The hotel and beech are wonderful. The town...or village was not too busy which suited us fine as we were on honeymoon. Beech and sunsets were fabulous and the water was beautifully warm. Bar faciilities and food are very good....not amazing ...but very good. Minor complaint about internet access. Although it was good it was priced on a per visit basis which was a bit expensive for a four night stay.”
I would highly recommend Riu Guanacaste if you're looking for an all-inclusive resort with all the amenities. 5 bars that don't cheap out on giving drinks; a semi-private beach with lots of room to hike around; free rentals (snorkeling gear, boogie board, etc); and 4 unique restaurants that are easy to book. All of the tour salesmen on the beach are legitimate and courteous (and less expensive than the hotel tours). Food was great, including the breakfast and lunch buffets. Casino was kinda bushleague though.”
It was what i was expecting excep for the beach that is very small and the sand is a little dark . The service is very good , all the employers are very kind , an smiling all time. My first room was smelly so they changed it inmediatly for a better one with georgeous view . The movility inside the hotel is effective and cool. Ther are not fancy shows but there is nice musicians every night. most of the occupants were nice couples and families .It is not a huge fancy Hotel, but has very good taste in dercoration in all the restaurants and sorroundings , the only noicy place is the pool. Food is okay not a grate variety , but good flavors. I recomended for a quite and relaxing stay .”
Too bad Hotels.com only allows 1500 characters for reviews, because we could write a novel about how special this place is! From the moment we arrived began our truly first class experience, greeted by the hotel's assistant manager and guest services manager- cold towel, fresh juice and warm greetings with sincerely wonderful smiles. We were quickly escorted to our rooms, given the liberty to check-in once we've settled and unpacked. Our villa is beyond exceptional, tropical elegance nestled into the mountain side. The facilities are beyond belief, staff accommodating, professional, engaging and genuinely warm- many knew our names within hours. We had a great day of fishing and the chef was kind enough to prepare it in several different ways for our dinner that evening- by the way, some serious culinary skills! You can't go wrong by staying here- it is super exceptional resort!”
