Excellent family destination - great facilities and friendly stafff and people. Food more basic quality but plenty of restaurants nearby to have change. Swimming pool very cold but ok as sea was warm. The play centre and creche facilities were great to have with a very lively 18 month year old”
The staff were lovely, they have a new restaurant that is Japanese, Malaysian / Thai and the food is fantastic - we ate at several of the great restaurants on the island and Tipani was hard to beat. The room was lovely at first glance and comfortable however, there was a strong smell of sewage in the bathroom that could occassionally spread into the main area and was very unpleasant. When we mentioned this they said the smell was blowing in from across the road but it was definitely in the bathroom. Considering the hotel has only been open since Feb / March it was already a little worn - mould above shower, shower handle had part broken off. Bathroom door would constantly come back on you if you were on the toilet and you would have to prop it back with your foot if not completely closed - minor but odd things that with some thought would not be there. Aroa Beach reserve was lovely - the beach, facilities, snorkelling all good. Situation good. Car hire across the road. powered bikes for hire - hilarious. We had a lovely relaxing time.”
We really enjoyed our stay at the Raina and will definitely recommend it to others. The beach across the road is the best on the island for snorkeling and offers a huge diversity of sea life just minutes away. It is also the starting point for the swim component of the weekly triathalon.”
It was exactly as we expected. We were in a Premium Beachfront Bungalow, with our own deck a stones through from turquoise seas. The room was spacious and comfortable, with air conditoning when needed and the novelty of an outdoor shower. The food at the hotel was to a good standard and also reasonably priced as are most restaurants in the Cooks we found. You cant go wrong with the many seafood dishes available. You can hire kayaks, snorkelling gear and reef shoes daily at no cost, and the lagoon cruise picks you up frpm the hotel bar by the waterside.”
We rented the lodge for ten days honeymoon and it suited us for the following reasons, quiet, private, far from populated area, close to shops as Aitutaki is a small island, although situated in the bush but not far from everything else, especially the beach.During the day we go out and have fun and during the night we come to our cabin and rest in private and peace until the early mornings when the roosters wake you up early but after 3 days we got used to it,Mozzies but we were ready with our protections, hot butwe found ways to cool down.thank you Des ad Tutai 4 the service.Thank you Aitutaki 4 the beautiful wheather. We are now back in Mlbourne and its cold.See you next time around.”

Visiting Rarotonga and staying at Sunrise Beach Bungalows was a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. The hosts go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. We would definitely stay at the bungalows again.”
